Rob Pasternak
General Partner
Robert "Rob" Pasternak, the senior member of R&E Ventures, started his construction related activity as he entered Montclair State University in 1966. His Bachelors degree studies included woodworking, mechanical drawing, and design classes. Today, these skills make up a significant portion of the skills required to be successful in the building industry. Rob earned his supervision and administration Masters degree in 1975 from Montclair State University.
Robert began his professional career in secondary education teaching industrial arts programs and coaching several sports programs. Coaching fostered Rob's love of team sports which remains a beloved hobby to this day. Rob and a partner began building homes as B&B Builders in Toms River, NJ in 1981. Starting with a single spec house he and his partner went on to eventually develop raw land into subdivisions and build out the subdivisions. After moving to Florida in 1987 he began several other business ventures including a print shop, marine fueling company, and specialty contracting business with his son, Eric.
Robert has come full circle in his career by teaming up with Eric to begin a residential contracting company here in east TN. R&E Ventures will build on the experience of both Rob and Eric to provide customer focused personal attention with affordable, well built home packages. Eric Pasternak
President
Eric Pasternak lives with his wife and two children in West Knoxville. They made Knoxville their home four years ago while searching for a great place to raise their young children. Since early childhood, Eric has been interested in and involved with building projects of all types. Beginning with a handmade wooden boat at age 11, storage sheds in his teen years, or helping build homes after school, Eric has a lifelong passion for construction.
Eric developed the necessary skills to succeed in business through education and experience. As an entrepreneur, Eric was instrumental in building two successful businesses. Eric began his business career with a marine fueling company which he helped build and sell. He then started a specialty contracting company in Florida. Eric graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in 1997.
Founding R&E Ventures with his father in Tennessee brings Eric back to his core passions of family, building and creating structures, and providing people with an honest and customer focused purchase. "I am blessed with the good fortune of starting my third family business and I am excited to be doing something that I have a passion for. R&E will provide quality affordable homes with unmatched integrity in business and construction practices, giving our customers a place to create their family memories."
